is there anyway i can block this? is this caused by something planted on my pc?

As long as norton is blocking the incomming attempts..dont worry ....norton is doing it's job protecting you...but as wawadave said if you start getting strange outgoing requests from norton security....time to investigate...try the scans above to see....I get alot of logs too of sub7 among others incomming (blocked)..there should be an option in norton to not show all those alert windows popping up so they dont bug you...but the outgoing ones will still pop up because they need a yes or no from you to grant access ....hope that wasn't too confusing.
Good luck
