"awacsd" wants to connect

December 1, 2010 at 16:55:53
Specs: Macintosh , 2.4 Ghz intel core 2 duo/ 4GB 667 DDR2 Sdram
I've got the awacsd thing, I press deny access (forever) and it just pops straight back up. mac support doesn't know a thing about it and says it's not connecting to a real IP address (fd00:6587:52d7:872::1), it didn't seem to come up in safe mode, I've installed sophos anti virus which hasn't picked it up. I'm running snow leopard 10.6.5

cheers Stuart

I have the same problem as you (stuf) on my Mac with the same IP: fd00:6587:52d7:41::1

Have you figured it out yet?

I had the same problem. It turns out it is MobileMe working through something called "back to my mac". See MobileMe preferences. If this is turned off, the access requests stop. Otherwise, the access request could be continually allowed or blocked.
