Subject: AVG7 dials on boot

Comment:

When I boot in the morning, AVG7 (free version) tries to dial so as to update, but since my dialler does not have my password in memory, it can't dial. (Good! I don't want it to.) As a result, both AVG and the dialler require AltCtrlDel and 'END TASK' to get them clear.
Anyone else have this problem? Can I disable the auto-dial mechanism?
Thanks.
d

launch the program then look on the right side and click on scheduler then double click on the update and in the next window that appears change the default time same with the run time to when you want it to update and run the test

If I dont know, somebody will.

Thanks very much, smiff.

I turned the scheduler off.

Smifff, you seem knowledgeable about AVG7, so hopefully you can help me, too. Sometimes my computer freezes and when I click CTRL+Alt+Del, it says avgcc is not responding. Do I have some setting wrong that causes this to happen occasionally. If I shut AVG down, the computer goes on as if nothing strange had happened. Any help would be appreciated.
