Comment: Hi, i just bought a new computer. The computer store pre-installed the Free Version of AVG and Ad-aware. However, the CD that came with my MB has Norton Internet Security (currently un-installed). Which is better? and if i install Norton Internet Security should i uninstall AVG first? Thanks for any advice

Reply: (edit)You should only have one AV installed . In my opinion I do not like Nortons because it seems to hog the resorces and misses many problems Avg has done me fine for years and with no complaints , Also you may wish to try Kaspersky AV which is also very good ( but not Free) You may find when you install Nortons you will have to activate/purchase it " Please Post back to let us know if we helped "

Reply: (edit)AVG is fine, have used the free version for probably 4 years now and never have had a virus . Use AVG with spybot and adaware and you'll have a clean pc . For added protection will occasionally go out and use Trend Micros housecall but it has never found anything that AVg missed virus wise . Besides if your ISP is worth anything at all 99% of viruses should be picked off at your ISP for anything coming in via email . AVG is also a lot lighter on your processor resources than NAV.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the advice. I have AVG and Ad-Aware installed. I've heard good things about AVG before, so i'll stick with it for a while.
