Lesley, it is not you. AVG 6 is free,a nd is still being updated. Grisoft's AVG 7 is available for a free trial. I cannot find any information about its future, but it does not appear that AVG 7 is to be offered as a free program.

Got this from Grisoft today:
There will not be a free version of 7, free users can still use AVG6.
That's a bit annoying.
