AVG - issues with the virus vault

Has anyone out there had a problem with AVG's virus vault? I quarantined 850 or so infected files to it earlier on, and when I went into it to try and restore them there were only FIVE there! Some of the missing files were very important (MSIMN.EXE, of whatever it's called, for example). When I discovered that the virus concerned wasn't too harmful, I wanted to restore all the files and search the web for a more specific removal tool. But AVG seems to have eaten all my files.
