I have been trying to download the manual updates for avg free for hours but they don't seem to even start. Is this normal? I am getting this for a friend who is offline and she needs something as she introduces a usb drive from time to time that she uses at a public computer. I warned her she could get infected. I have avg and all is fine. When you say manual updates do you mean you push the button to update it on avg or are you going to the avg website and downloading the updates. They did take forever to start...i think almost 5 minutes and I will burn them now to send to my friend as right now she lives in a country area where it is difficult to get the internet connected(Australia).
