I have AVG Free ver 8 and when I update the virus and spyware databases it tells me "update needs restart". I restart it and it still says "update needs restart". it's not a connectivity issue because it downloads the files it just doesn't implement them. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

what happens when you download the update file(dat) from the website and then run it instead of having avg downloading it within the actual program. Does that work.
