Sorry if the question seemed rather blunt but I just avoid most of these types of software altogether, I still like to be up to scratch on them though.
Medion MIM 2080 Toshiba T2130CT Macintosh Performa 450

Yes, I like it. It's more indepth then AVG 7.5 and it has some nice featuers like link scan that will scan search pages and tell you if there are any threats to them ahead of time before opening them. It also has a pretty decent spyware scanner to.

for those who use spywareblaster, avg v8 gets very confused with spywareblasters protection and comes up with 100s of warnings about activex registry entry infections. Nearly gave me a heart attack until I worked out they were all false positives

Just be aware that the 8.0 free version will no longer have an email scanner after the 30 trial peroid.

"The free product also does not include the round-the-clock email support provided with the commercial products."
Oooopps my bad. I read the line above in their description and took it to mean they no longer providing the email scanner on the free version.

As an aside, the paragraph "Viral Irony" here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie... makes interesting reading. Seems there is some doubt about the worth of email scanning anyhow.
