Although this statement appears at the AVG [Grisoft] website is it best to manually uninstall AVG 6.0 before installing AVG 7.0?

I have found with the new addition that it put no shortcut in the start menu, I deleted my desktop item & after stopping virus protection from the tool tray could only reactivate from the file in program files or reboot. If like me you prefer a clean desktop drag the icon into the start menu before deleting from the desktop.
I also found the box standard scan to take 1.5 hours compared to version 6s 29 mins.
Summary: Confusion! Now update 498 for AVG 6.0 free edition is suddenly a file of 3MB+ like before that's usable like the hints under the download say. Ok, we go with the flow... ...
