AVG 2011 error: A .bin file is missing

Hello, I upgraded my AVG 9 to AVG 2011 free edition, the installation went great, however, whenever it tries to update, it keeps giving me an error :" a .bin file is missing"

uninstall and re-install it. Many people have problems with AVG any more, especially in these forums.
You may have to use their uninstaller from the website to remove it.

I would suggest you maybe try Avast free
Much better real-time protection plus you don't have to run scheduled scans. I've used it now for 9 yrs and it's done me really well and I also install it on ALL the repairs I do in my shop. Haven't had any problems. Good luck.
