Hi all;

We have 2 PC's here at home and they both use the same anti-virus software, Avast Home Edition 4.7. On the one that runs Windows XP Pro we rarely get any messages from Avast. And if we do get messages they appear in a square box in the lower right corner. However on the other PC which runs Windows XP Home we get messages constantly and they appear basically as line text and they scroll up & down and eventually go away after a few seconds . To see a sample see the URL below. What I'd like to do is have both PC's operate as the one that rarely gets any messages from Avast. I've taken a look at the Avast program settings on both PC's and they appear to be the same. Does anyone have any idea how to make the programs operate as we'd like?

There has to be option to not display those messages somewhere , don't use AVAST so I can't tell you where .

I believe what your talking about on Avast On-access scanner is in customize then advanced then remove the checkmark in "show detailed info on performed action"
