I had a problem with my new canon printer. they suggested i do disc clean up and a degfrag. done. now Avast little icon doesn't spin. email, web pages, -0-. i doublechecked all its components, even did a looong virus check, but it still isn't on. can't figure it out. any ideas?

you may have to uninstall Avast and then re-install it....put a check mark in so it does a bootscan on reboot.

Right click on the Icon > Program Settings > Appearance, tick > Animate.

Just because it doesn't spin doesn't mean it's not on. I set mine to not spin because it silently annoys me.

thank you ALL! i did remove/reinstall/bootscan, and only now do i know about "program/appearance" and yes, it was stuck at 1/2....you guys are the best
