I have been using it for a couple of years now, and have never had any problems with it. I lke the tabbed browsing as well. It gets updated pretty regularly as well.

It works with IE 7.0 beta as well.

Unity is strength.

It uses the IE engine & is better than IE, but like all opinions, what I can understand, re how to install & run, may not apply to you.
You can install as many browsers as you like & have them all running at the same time, just a matter of choosing which one you want as default.
Give Avant a try is the only way of knowing & if it is not the way he likes it to look & behave, that is where the skill level comes into play, it is highly configurable.
