Yes, I've just got that

The list of files it was installing looked a bit different from usual and it required a re-start this time

Wondered if it was an Update to the Software itself but the Program windows etc didn't look any different

Maybe there's something about it at the Site - haven't been

Just been to look - this is what it says:

I installed it today, and couldn't access my cd drives after rebooting, and Nero wouldn't open.I didn't connect the problems to the AVG update right away, and tried everything I could to fix it. I finally just reinstalled a Ghost backup of my operating system partition, and everything worked fine again UNTIL I updated AVG and rebooted. Same problems! I had to uninstall AVG to get my cd drives to work again. I hope others don't have the same problem, but I am not very happy right now.

Tuesday I checked with live update and it said my system was up to date. Yesterday , since I've been told they release on Wednesday, I went back and like the rest of you I noticed a very large update package. In my situation it was around 3222KB in size. I have not noticed any ill effects yet from this update. However after installing a software update a couple of weeks ago ,my email will no longer download with email protection enabled. When I went to Norton to find out about this .They tried to sell me a newer version of NAV. Iam begining to wonder if the software upgrade made my email scanning no longer work ,forcing me to purchase a upgrade ? Any suggestions, Thanks Nick

I see today that AVG has withdrawn yesterday's update because of problems with the Resident Shield on NT systems, and they've replaced it with update 400. At least I know I wasn't imagining my problems.

If you have the 399 update it will not automatically pull the update ,says it already up to date , you have to manually download and run 400 to update AVG .

They had trouble with update 400 too and pulled that, but the new update 401 seems to be working now with my XP computer.
