I have virus. Whenever I try to open a HDD from ?My Computer" I get the error that "autorun.vbs? cannot be found. I have searched the and that file is not found anywhere. I can open these drives from "Windows Explorer" however.
What can I do?

you can try an sfc /scannow to see if the system files are not corrupted.

If you think it is a virus....what programs did you use to try detecting and removing it? More info would be nice.

Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

I ran my installed AVG (free) and then ran the TRENDMICRO House Call scan.
Neither one found a virus.
I did research autorun.vbs and it is a virus according to Symantec.
Remember, autorun.vbs is no longer on my system but its effects remain.

It appears my HDD is dying. I think I will replace. Get back to you when I know the results.
