Reply: (edit)Yes, I have unisnatalled and reinstalled it, and when i try to enable the auto protect it tells me: A necessary component for this function is missing or damaged. (C:\Program Files\Norton Antivirus\navapw32.dll) I hit okay, (the only option)and it tells me: Norton Antivirus has encountered an internal problem error. Again I hit okay. What is the problem?

Reply: (edit)Uninstalling and reinstalling NAV will cause problems because NAV doesn't uninstall well. You will have to go to nortons site to download the removal tool for NAV. Search the site for remove norton antivirus...you will have to know what version of NAV you have and what your operating system is. once you get the tool downloaded use add/rem programs to uninstall norton antivirus, live update, and whatever else there that is norton related. (symantec) then run the removal tool and reboot. You should be able to reinstall norton now. Good luck
