Reply: (edit)Does a popup appear with a question mark? If it does, click it and there should be a link to the removal tool. If it is not the "official aurora spyware" that you have on your system, I would go to the spywarewarrior website and download hijackthis. Then post the log on their forum to obtain a fix for your problem.

Reply: (edit)The aurora topic is quite extensively covered on the Windows XP board, with quite a few ideas about where it came from and how to get rid of it (apart from using aurora's own uninstall tool, which may be a bit dodgy). One of the suggested methods of removal was very simple, but I couldn't get it to work and so resorted to a system restore, since when I don't seem to have any problem.
