I have read many posts but cannot find this answer. I
received the ups virus email. I said to download and norton
said no virus. Then a light went on and I did not open. I
deleted before opening. But initially I said to download. I
ran norton and it found nothing. then i ran avira and it
found two things. I deleted. Now very slow. Am I okay?

Make sure you turn off System Restore before attempting
to get rid of the virus. You'll recreate it otherwise!

Delete all files from C:/Documents and
Settings/BlahBlah/Localsettings/Temp

Remove all instances of the email from your inbox,
outbox, sent items and where ever else it may be
referenced.

Reboot after this and then scan the system using your
usual anti-virus suite. It should make sure you've got rid
of the virus once and for all.

Thank you. I did all this and my anti virus stuff can't find
anything. And today I received another message to a
different email address of mine saying they had a fed ex
package. I think this is a new strain or whatever they are
called because norton didn't find anything but avira did when
I first scanned. I am not going to use that computer for
banking. In fact if I can find my filemaker disk I am going to
use another computer altogether. Thanks very much for
your post. Susan
