I am at present using AVG 7.0 free and I am interested in installing free a-squared anti-virus.

you should keep avg for anti-virus. also be aware that a-squared will find false positives, such as nvidia graphic drivers, that are repacked and released by evga, among others. (it is still good for free) quote; "a-squared (a²) is a complementary product to antivirus software and desktop firewalls on MS Windows computers.
