Comment:
I recently found that my computer had been infected. One program would keep restarting no matter how many times I closed it. I spent a considerable amount of time cleaning things up. One of the suggestions I found was to run Trend-Micro Housecall. I did this during the clean up process. The scan showed one incidence of "ASP .NET Path Validation Vunerability." I tried to read up on this and downloaded a patch from the Microsoft web site. When I ran the scan again, this incidence did not come up in the list. Can I feel safe that whatever this was is now OK and that I do not have to live in fear of identity theft via a backdoor trojan (like I read!) or should I go ahead and spend the next two day reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling all my programs? Thanks for the advise!
