hi,i just changed firewall from zonealarm to sygate and am getting this message when opening apps.so far i have played a game installed on my pc and also media player, both times sygate has alerted me of an "application hijack attempted". i have all the usual progs(spybot, adaware etc all updated)and cannot see anything on a hijack this log,is this normal for sygate or is something hidden causing this? thx

Yes, quite normal, Sygate is just letting you know its product is doing it's job. Did you check all the logs?
Also dble right click the tray icon and it will give you 3 graphs that show you what is happening. One of them is the Attack History graph. If you right click the tray icon it will give you a drop-out menu for the four logs, you can back trace (as far as is available) through 'WHOIS' on any listing in the log.
