I recently installed Zone Alarm, excellent firewall ! The first thing it told me was "aornum.exe" was trying to acess the internet, as most of you did, I wondered what it was and came here through google to find out. I was scared when I read the messages, and have since become even more worried as I found 17 different programs with variations of the name "aornum" ie ornum, aornum, aornum1 1ornum,ornum1 with a whole host of different file extentions, I have since found more than 20 "ornum"s in my C:/windows/user.dat file. IWON should be crusified for this intrusion. But the fun doesnt stop there, I'm no techie and am very nervous about editing anything in the user.dat file, but the real problem is aornum has "morphed" in some new files. So far Ive re-identified it as ""SRCHASST.EXE"" and ""TENSOFT.EXE"" if anyone can tell me how to edit the user.dat file without turning my machine into a paper-weight, I would appreciate it. For those of you just bent on revenge, you may like to know, I'm a morning show DJ ( radio ) and my listeners and I are learning ALL about IWON and aornum, it isnt much but its a start. I would encourage ALL media folk out there to do the same, after all, if its true, its legal to broadcast, and this is a lot of conformation. Thanks for the patience reading this.
