Recently on AOL I have a program showing up as soon as connected to internet called "Spyzapper" ? does anybody knows what's about ? and how to get out of this program ? is it a pop-up ? or a cookie spyware ? thanks for infos....
SpyZapper feature works alongside AOL Spyware Protection to automatically target the most disruptive forms of spyware and other programs that may cause connection problems, performance issues, and security risks or otherwise interfere with a member's AOL online experience. The SpyZapper feature scans the computer and helps members decide whether they want to block the programs it identifies.
Thank you Abnormal for your reply, meanwhile you don't answer my question how to stop it ? I looked all around the program AOL itself to check where this program was without success, as well as all my computer for the same reason... I'd like de desactivate this program.... Thanks for infos
In the Security drop down menu click on AOL Spyware Protection. Down the page is Update your settings. It says you can disable it, if it actually does or just hides it i have no idea.
If you don't want SpyZapper to check for spyware and other programs that can interfere with your online experience, you can easily turn it off.
1. Go to AOL® Keyword: SpyZapper. 2. On the SpyZapper - Settings screen, click Do not block any programs; do not check my computer. 3. Click Save. SpyZapper will stop checking your computer for the specific spyware and other programs that can interfere with your online experience.
Turning off SpyZapper does not turn off AOL Spyware Protection from conducting regular scans.
