Comment: Hi, I am an AOL user under Mac, and yesterday AOL started launching and connecting itself. It just never stops, and I don't know what to do. I have checked the hard drive with both antivirus and anti-spyware softwares and nothing was found. I have watched AOL while it connects itself and saw no apparent activity. I have also checked the hard drive for new or modified files/apps, and found nothing either. I have not installed any new softwares in months. The existing softwares are not set on automatic software updates. I am on a 56K modem connection. Could this be a virus? Has anyone else had the same problem? Thanks.

Reply: (edit)Do you mean it automatically loads when your system boots? Or do you mean it is forever loading whilst you are working? If it is the former, have you checked that you have ticked the "Do not use any auto load options" in the AOL option box? I had a similar problem with my system and the problem was in the auto load options - and I was certain that I had not changed anything!
