I was wondering if any computing.net members/regulars have tried Ewido security suite? They have a free version, and also a paid version. The reason for my asking is?
I went to a clients house the other day for a pest call, and low in behold i realized that the pc was infested with pretty much all of the nasty spyware you can think of.
Anyway,I have been wanting to test Ewido out to see how good it is,so i downloaded the suite and scanned the pc and ewido was able to detect, and remove a total of 69 spyware, and 1 trojan. So to verfiy the integrity of the ewido I performed a scan with the clients Norton 2004,and also,Spybot,Adware, which revealed a clean pc.
Anyway,I don`t want to bore you with the rest, but i just wanted to know if anyone has used Ewido, and what your personal experience is?
TAKE CARE!!!

In addition to the more popular scumware tools, I also use a² and ewido ewido is indeed efficient and one particular thing I like about ewido is the autoupdate feature built into the program but I'd love the scanning engine to be faster.

Thanks! Sabertooth for the input.I was very surprised to see that a free version was very effective at removing pests, and I also found that the scan engine was a little slow.Im going to use Ewido on a few other machines i have to clean out and see how it makes out.
TAKE CARE!!
