Hi,
my current subscription for Norton is expiring soon, any suggestions for better softwares? that I could download and it not be just a trial version? Some I've heard quite a lot of are AVG and Avast, which is better? AVG looks good from the site.
Thanks much.

Kaspersky is VERY good. They offer updates every offer, when AVG only offers them about every day or every other day. I would highly reccommend gettting this, it's from here:

http://www.kaspersky.com/store

Yes, it's expensive but trust me, it's worth it.

avg free version is about as good as norton.
scans incoming/outgoing e-mail. uses auto protect,
you have to open the program to update, definitions
have been available mon-fri for quite a while now.
and sat,sun when a high level virus is found.

and for trojans get TDS-3

Yes AVG 6.0 will auto update, the only downside is that you can only schedule it for once a day and sometimes AVG has more than one update per day.

hey viruskiller101,
nod32 isn't included in that list? Strange, don't you think?
Sorry to blow your bubble, but I've used Avast for over a year and my PC has been totally virus free and running great, sometimes I wonder where those ratings come from.
