AntiVirus Problem

I've got Norton AntiVirus. Whenever I bootup, my antivirus comes up "disabled" I have to "manually " enable it. Of course, it stays "enabled" until I shut down. I've checked the "options" for the antivirus. And the Automatic enable box has been checked. I've also checked msconfig. AntiVirus is seet to load up. Question : Could this problem have anything to do with the fact that, recently, was attacked with a Trojan ? (Norton quarantined it). I ran a scan of my System, it showed up. I opted to have that file deleted....via Norton System Works 2005 [which contains the AntiVirus/Firewall. Any ideas as to what else that can help with this situation ? garystan

I think it's a memory thing. You have only 256MB ram and I've noticed that on other PC's I've worked on. If there isn't enough memory on reboot it takes awhile for the AV to start, so if you wait awhile (minute or two) it should start up on it's own. On the PC's I've worked on having 512MB ram, the AV starts up immediately. Maybe just give it some time to load up.
friendly and helpful for better computing in all areas *smile*
