Anti-virus Plus

G data Antivirus 2010 (full product)

Specs: Windows XP, ?
Long night.

I somehow got hit with Anti-virus plus. It must have then started loading me with trojans.

Task Manager was blocked. Internet was blocked. Everything slowed to a crawl. I tried to use Microsoft Security Essential to delete the trojans but it locked up.

I gave up and rebooted in safe mode. Bad choice. Blue screen of death.

I tried every mode and same BSOD except for debug mode. Then windows loaded up very slowly then locked up once it started loading Antivrus Plus.

I assume my only options are to create a boot cd and then proceed with a fix from there.

How do I do this? I have an old dell desktop. How do I create a boot cd?

Then once booted what can I do? Is there a program I can put on a cd and run from the cd?

Any help is appreciated. Sorry for the lack of info.

Try downloading Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program, updating it, and doing a complete computer scan.

Also get SUPERantispyware download it update it and do a full computer scan after malwarebytes has finished.

For best results, do this in safe mode and turn off System Restore.

To start your computer in safe mode, click "restart computer" and push f8 repeatedly while the system is booting up, you can either chose safe mode, or safe mode with networking (internet access).

Links to download the programs I have suggested.

Best of luck!

Thank you for the response but as I stated in my first post, I am unable to boot up in safe mode. I get the blue screen of death at that point.

The only mode that would partially load before freezing is debug mode but once Internet Security 2010 loads, the machine is dead frozen.

So I need another work around.
