Reply: (edit)Never detects anything could be a good thing, unless you're positive you have a virus on your computer. I prefer Norton above all other anti-virus programs, but that's just my $.02. Life's more painless for the brainless.

Reply: (edit)In my computer I prefer to use Avira Antivir Personal Edition. Its free and it is very powerful in detecting and stopping viruses and other malicious programs. I felt very secure in this antivirus...... :)

Reply: (edit)actually, norton is a memory hog, i would not use norton even if it was free. i have been using avast for 4 years now and it has been the best anti-virus ever. the truth is that if you do get a virus, none of the anti-virus programs are going to remove it. nortan, mcafee, avg and so on, i have tested so many. every virus has its own remover, you just have to find it. your best solution to virus issues is Google.com and nothing else. i use avast to remove the outer layers of virus's but it will never detect the mother of the virus, thats when you use it as a tool to tell you what virus you have but google.com and the community will provide a tool for you to remove it completely.
