Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

I am looking for good anti-virus protection for Vista Home Premium 64-bit just for regular web browsing and shopping. I already have a spam filter for email through my ISP. The main thing is I am stuck with dial-up, and I need something that can download its updates quickly and cleanly over dial up service. I previously used AVG with good results on Windows 98SE, however the AVG-Free site showed several consumer reviews saying it caused problems with Vista, so I am shying away from that one! I would prefer a free program but am willing to pay if necessary if it's the only way to get something that will work well and update properly.

I use nod32 on Vista!
The size of update is small, just to dial-up connection!

Maksimog, Thank you for responding to my question! I think I will give Nod32 a try. I wish it was free, but I see they have a money back guarantee, and if it works, it will be worth it.

I'm sure Avast Free works on vista:

I don't see much of a need to pay for an AV for the homeowner.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
