Hello

( i have Agv antivir, avast, Avg antispy, sygate firewall)

I suddenly found out that my antivirus was not running and when i tried opening again , it fails . Its the same thing for antispyware and firewall

I cant even reinstall them , installation fails

I cant even boot in safe mode , my pc keeps on restarting again and again.

I have tried installing Nod32 , and HijackThis , It says this is not a valid wi232 application.

Along with this i even had an internet conection problem ( wireless conection)

The wireless conection service would not start ( error 1068 , dependencies failing to start)

I managed to find out on the net that changing the folowing registry entry would solve the problem

[hkey local machine]
system/currentcontrolset/services/ndisuio
change start to "0x000000002(2)"

And it does , but the next time i reboot wireless conection fails again and i need to again change the registry entry

I have already tried the folowing

Running online antivirus , trend micro housecall, registry scan with "Advance windowscare pro" , and "Uniblue registry booster".

Registry cleaner (ccleaner) and TuneUp2007 fails to start.

I had made a scan with Ad Aware 2007 and it detected a worm ( i didnt note the name , but it had something like win32 in it) which it repaired . But my problem is still the same . When i run Ad Aware 2007 again , it detects nothing.

Someone plz get me out of this mess , am running a pc with no security at all.

Do you have AVG (antivirus), Antivir and Avast all running on your pc at the same time?

If you do, most of the problems with your antivirus(and maybe even antispyware) programs malfunctioning could be attributed to this. They don't always play happily together and can cause system conflict.

If you can, uninstall a couple of av's or at least prevent them from starting up.

You can do this by clicking "start" > "run" and typing in msconfig, select the "startup" tab and uncheck all entries related to anivirus programs.

Reboot your pc and manually open one to see if it works.

Try Avast for this... If you can get the Avast scanning engine on the screen click on the button at the top left (it looks like an eject button), select "schedule boot-time scan", then when prompted click schedule and it will reboot your pc and run the scan before it fully boots up. Quarantine everything it finds.

Post back and let us know how this goes.

My computer kept S-L-O-W-I-N-G DOWN, SO i GOT TIRED OF IT AND WIPED THE HARD DRIVE CLEAN. Then (BEFORE) I connected to the net, I loaded Kapersky Internet Suite (Anti-Virus and Firewall) then as soon as I connected to the net (Cable Modem RoadRunner) I updated. When I put the operating system back onto the hard drive it was Windows XP Pro.
Within a few hours of normal internet going to web sites, checking e-mail and (DOWNLOADING using LimeWire Pro) running BUFFERZONE! I suddenly simply LOCKED UP.
Once the computer locks up, I have to turn it off then back on... it then starts to load up very slowly again... and I run the anti-virus and get nothing...then I notice upon another lock-up that when it comes back up THE ANTI-VIRUS WON'T LOAD!!!!!!!!
I usually also run (Attack Shield Worm Suppression 2.1) just to BACK-UP the Kapersky. (Attack Shield Worm Suppression 2.1-->Sana Security

Attack Shield WS provides instant protection against the highest risk attack class seen recently--network worms. Network worms inject malicious code by exploiting vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows services. Traditional antiviral software depends on signatures of known viruses to block malicious code and generally focuses only on file system scans and e-mail attachments. With Attack Shield WS, no signatures are required and updates are a thing of the past. Attack Shield WS is your proactive defence against the zero-day worms that antivirus products don't catch. Upon software installation, your PC is protected from known and unknown network worm attacks. Single-user license is free. dOWNLOADED FROM cnet.com) SO I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT'S UP? ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

UPDATE: 9 March 2008- I took my PC off line and have run it for over a YEAR now and no slowing up at all. I believe whatever it was that was causing the problems, it was something on the NET. If anyone wants to write to me directly at length about this problem just write to cklives at yahoo dot com. Thanks guys. I can always count on good internet users to help me when I have a problem.
