I dont know what happened but everytime I tried to open Norton Antivirus 2002 it opens and the closes very quickly. I reinstalled it and still the same problem exist. I downloaded Mcaffe Home Edition 7.0 and it did the same exact thing. I believe it to be a virus but im not sure.
Please help.

There are a few viruses that do that.
Check for the bugbear virus. Download and run the fix tool for it a symantec.com.

Try to run a online scan if you can. housecall.com?

Yes, several viruses have that symptom, but at this point it's important for you to gain the name of the virus you are infected with, if at all, as it could be a NORTON issue, but doubt that.
Scan your full C: drive at www.housecall.antivirus.com or at www.symantec.com or at www.pandasoftware.com or at all of them
and hopefully you'll discover the name and then can proceed to the removal instructions.

I ran "Stinger" from McAffe Avert and it came up clean. Im running the online scan from Housecall but it is taking forever..its been on the restore archive files for about an hour now, and its only scanned 1000 files.
Is there anythign else that would cause this crash in Antivirus?

JS_EXCEPTION.GEN
And it was found in
C:WINDOWS.000\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0L4RGHSF\sc_set[1].htm
