Hello all!

Just want to ask a quick question...
I have the AntiVir XP (aka Luke Filewalker) and it keeps picking up this:
TR/Dldr.Small.WJ
It can't remove it. I had Norton's AV and decided to try another AV program just for the heck of it and as soon as I installed it and ran a scan, it told me I had that above mentioned one in one of my archive files and it will not be removed.
I guess my question is what is this particular one and why didn't Norton's pick it up?? Also, how can I go about deleting it??
I ran Trojan remover and it did not pick it up either.
I am stumped here...LOL
Thanks to anyone that replies...
Viv :)

Turn off sys restore and then scan. Or try your scan in safe mode...that should work

Ok, now a follow up...
I uninstalled Luke Filewalker and installed AVG.
AVG found more. I will put in all that AVG found:
90ctoj.exe- Trojan Horse-startpage.16.v
adlinstallwin32.exe- trojan Horse downloader.second th...
counter.exe- Trojan Horse-Dropper.Agent.2AM
counter.cab- Trojan Horse-Dropper.Agent.2AM

I am besides myself.
I ran Luke Filewalker in safe mode, ran AVG in safe mode and ran Trojan Remover in safe mode too. TR didn't even find any trojans at all.

I am running Stinger now to see what else I can do. I really don't want to go and manually delete them cause I am not all too hot on doing that.
I don't know how this could have happened, I have sooo much protection, everything is always updated and ran, so I am stumped.
Thanks to anyone that replies.
Viv :)

Hi Viv.... It's time to cut to the chase and finish this. Download HiJack This, move it into its own file folder, close all open programs and run a log. Post it at one of these:
>suggestafix.com
>tomcoyote.com
>spywarewarrior.com

Include a brief sentence or two about your problem (you don't need to go into deep detail, the log will tell the story) and an expert will be along to help you. AdAaware, Spybot and Spysweeper are excellent proggies, but when you get embedded Trojans it's asking too much for a robot program to handle it.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day;
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime;
Then industry pollutes the water and kills all the fish.

Re: removing trojans that it finds - permanently.

The problem resides in the fact they are compressed within JAR (java classes) files with your "Temporary Internet Files" folder, and may me in another users local settings.

To solve this...

1. Browse the computer folder/directory called "Documents and Settings" and note all the users enabled to log onto your system.

2. In turn, expand these folders/directories and look for folder called "Local Settings", expand that to reveal that users local Temporary Internet Files...

3. Select all by pressing CTRL-A then hit the DELETE key.

4. Repeat this process for all users.

5. Problems solved with a bonus of freeing up loads of disk space.

IF ANYBODY ELSE HAS ANY OTHER PROBLEMS (WITH YOUR PCs) DONT HESITATE TO ASK ME
