Specs: Windows XP
I just had this "antispyware-for-all-com" pop up under my windows security alert telling me to download this.
File is protect.exe.
Is this malware or is it safe though windows security alert?

"antispyware-for-all-com" reads like some form of rogue and nothing to do with MS. I also see that it is often put into hosts files (in exactly the form given) to ensure you don't go there. Many nasties try to kid you that they are MS alerts - I'd avoid it.

What makes you feel it is a "windows security alert" and what were exactly were you doing when this pop-up arrived?

some other bloke...

Look it'll be better not to follow those sudden pop up links. They some times up to no good.
