Hey,

I'm basically computer illiterate when it comes to being secure. It started yesterday while I was trying to watch Charm School (I know) and study for an exam at the same time. I must have downloaded something because a second later, pop-us galore appeared on my screen and I had to exit out.

I saw some solutions here but I didn't want to copy theirs just in case mine was a bit different. When I search for something into Google it redirects to a different site usually showing

counter.fastclick.net

My computer is slow, Firefox freezes up frequently as well. But for some reason I've noticed that this doesn't happen with wikipedia at all. Anywho, I use ixquick to search but it's probably still a problem that I can't use google, right?

Oh yes, I've done that. And the antivirus required for my schooling (TrendMicro) got rid of two things. Then I downloaded Spy Terminator that didn't find anything and basically blocked a lot of my programs. But, the same problem is still happening. :(

Thank you for responding!

It seems that the problem has stopped. I just searched for something on Google and everything worked perfectly. Weird.

Try to scan with malwarebytes and superantispyware. Post log once scan is finished.
