Look on the main page and click the link at the top for security tools. Your pop-up looks like an ad for another piece of lousy software they can't get rid of.

There are two ways to identifying and removing malware and possible security threats. Part One is to use antivirus software to detect and identify the security threats and then remove the malware, and Part Two is to use the System Configuration Utility (msconfig), the Task Manager, and the Internet to identify any missed or unidentified security threats.

Begin the identification process by using anti-track and anti-virus software first.

1. Empty your temporary files, cookies, and Internet Temporary files. Empty Recycle Bin.

2. Download and run three recommended free software programs:

Download/update and run Ad-aware 6.0 from www.lavasoftusa.com to identify and remove malware.

Update and run both free online antivirus scans from Trendmicro.com and Symantec.com to identify and remove malware.

3. Disable System Restore and run Ad-aware 6.0 and the two online antivirus programs to detect and identify security threats.

4. Remove any identified malware using the above software, and for any malware not removed automatically, look up Trendmicro's and Symantec's virus encyclopedias for instructions to remove them manually (RECOMMENDED).
