Well Iam running bitdefender and norton antivirus 2003 with the latest antivirus files and even downloaded from the so called intelligent link that has daily downloads which are not available on live update on a weekly basis...
Well norton didnt detect a virus called Backdoor.B02K.114618 which bit defender found !!!
So just be aware with Norton Antivirus

you say im making this up, give me your email address and i'll send you the file and you tell me if I made it up...
Run norton with the latest updates and tell me if it catches it and show me the proof with a print screen, then run any other program I ran bitdefender which is the one Ive been using for a while.let me know !!!
laterz

No AV or Trojan remover or anything else, for that matter,is perfect.Did you submit your findings to Symantec?...

Hi, I run Norton internet security and it blocks backdoor trojan's. With the newest updates it maybe block your trojan in the future. I don't want to test this for you, but maybe if you use internet security....????.... you're free of trojans.
Succes, Dennis

A few weeks ago BUGBEAR hit everyone very hard. All the the antivirus programs failed initially to detect it. The prevention was to have downloaded and installed Microsoft's critical updates, then you could not get BUGBEAR. The user is just as important as the antivirus program. Anyone that thinks that every virus/worm/trojan can be detected by their AV program is a fool. For those people that think they can receive and download anything that comes through the internet, relying on their software to keep them safe are playing with fire, with an open container of gasoline next to them. Norton takes a strong second place in the virus bulletin testing results. I do know one thing, if I have a problem, the first website I go to for information and removal tools is the Symantec site, and it it there for all of us to use free of charge. Take care and all the best!

It's not a "virus", although many scanners are poorly
designed so they always tack that word on to anything they
report. It is one of the Back Orifice 2000 remote
control/network backdoor programs/a trojan.
