I have ZoneAlarm, AVG Free, and FreeRam constantly running. Everything was perfectly fine, but then I noticed my memory gap wasn't adding up. What FreeRam said I had left was too little compared to what added up in the Taskman. I took a couple of things off the startup (nothing critical) and restarted my computer. Suddenly, nothing worked. No internet, no cd drive, no speakers, no backup (doh!), only the keyboard and mouse. When I frantically started poking around my comp to figure out what was wrong, I mistakenly erased my restore files, so that option is out the window. Then I went to my services.msc and saw that NOTHING was running. Actually, the only things running are the DCOM Server Process Launcher and the Remote Procedure Call, the System Restore Service, and the TrueVector (ZoneAlarm). What is going on? I can't even enable any of my services, and my computer won't let me open a lot of things (presumably because the services are shut down). Before all this happened I started getting error messages saying there weren't enough system resources, and my memory would dive erratically (unrelated to the system resources message). I ran AVG with nothing found, although it did say that user32.dll was changed and ntoskrnl.exe was changed. Any ideas?
