Manolis, Go to the link below and try the EXE File Association Fix. Instructions are on the page.

Tufenuf,

i just found out that it's a worm named W32.Sircam or something like that. Will this get fixed from the procedure the link suggests?
Thanks for the answer.

Manolis, The fix may allow you to open programs properly but will not remove any viruses. Try the fix then update your virus/antimalware definitions then run full scans. What makes you think it's a virus/worm?

I'm not 100% sure that it's a virus but i googled my problem and i found out that several people had the same problem with me.
Anyway, i'll keep you informed if i manage to solve my problem.

Tufenuf,
I managed yesterday to solve my problem and now everything seems to run smoothly.
What i did was to open my registry editor using Ctrl+"new task" from the task manager and typing in some commands i found from some of your older posts on other threads.
I went to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. In there i saw that i had an "exe.File" and an"exefile". The "exe.File" was the one to cause all that trouble. I deleted and all is good now.

I write the whole procedure in case you or somebody else might want it. Also this site helped me:

Thanks for your help!
