Solved Windows 8 Startup Folder All Users

  • 5

Hey Everyone,
Just got Windows 8 a little while ago, and I was wondering if there was a startup folder that was for all users, not just one. In Windows 7/Vista, it was something like this:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

but as far as I can tell, there isn’t one for Windows 8.

Thanks!

  1. As you want all users to be able to run the program, open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type Shell:Common Startup and press Enter. Now drag the program’s shortcut to the open Startup folder.

FYI. If it’s for your account only, type Shell:Startup, press Enter and drag the shortcut to it.
