Reply: (edit)Yeah it is a real annoying thing thats going around lately. If you are running an antivirus program such as McAfee or Norton it should automatically pick up the virus and eliminate it. If you don't have one of these then there are probably other solutions to it but i don't have the time to figure it out. I have a friend who is infected with it and I tried to infect myself in order to figure out how to rid myself of it. McAfee Virus Scan automatically detected it and eliminated it before it could be installed. Norton can also do this when you run a virus scan. The virus is actually a worm. It is the W32/Sdbot.worm.gen virus. You can find information about it at http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100454.htm Im not saying that I am an expert on this stuff but from the reports from the different antivirus programs, this is what I have learned about it.

Reply: (edit)My daughters PC got this same worm thru AIM ! http://ugleague.net/aimprofile.scr ! It is running Windows ME with all of the security updates and has the latest version of Norton Antivirus installed and still got it. I removed AIM, ran the Antivirus scan and it said it could not remove some Adware that it found. I removed the Adware with SPYBOT. Then ran antivirus again and it did NOT find anything. I then downloaded the latest version of AIM, reinstalled it and the worm is back! This is affecting a lot of AIM users. I hope somebody comes up with something soon.

Reply: (edit)AIM problem http://ugleague.net/aimprofile.scr ! Last night I removed AIM again, ran SPYBOT to get any tracking cookies and Norton WinDoctor to clean up entries from AIM. Next I downloaded the latest AIM dated 03/15/2004. Installed it and the problem appears to have been corrected. The link http://ugleague.net/aimprofile.scr! did not appear in the profile any more last night over a period of 3+ hours. Good Luck
