I am almost certain my friend Alex has a virus on his
AIM account... he has been on vacation for the past
couple of weeks and I have been getting strange IM
messages from him that are constantly repeating.
Thus he asked me to see if I can figure it out... and
here I am.

The messages I get consist of:

Alex (9:29:31 PM): delete must lost
Alex (9:29:32 PM): lost bad
Alex (9:29:33 PM): stuff bad
Alex (9:29:36 PM): bad lost stuff
Alex (9:29:37 PM): delete
Alex (9:29:38 PM): stuffers
Alex (9:29:40 PM): stuffers
Alex (9:29:41 PM): bad lost
Alex (9:29:42 PM): stuff
Alex (9:29:44 PM): must delete

it gets really annoy especially at the frequency they
come. I have blocked him from my account.

I was wondering if this was any known AIM virus, and
if it is how can he fix it.

Hi,

You friend would need to come here and post up a HiJackThis log file for us to analyze. Only then can we advise which action to take.
