Yesterday a friend sent me a message that said "haha you have to see this http://ur.ly/CTe". I clicked on it since it was from a friend. However, he told me later on that he was infected and hacked. So.. I'm not sure what I should do now. I ran a virus scan, and everything seems okay. I also uninstalled AIM, reinstalled it, and changed my password. I don't know if that works though, so how do I make sure I remove the virus?

to be safe boot in safe mode and run a scan also get a real time virus program that has a real time email scanner and get a real time adware/spyware program as well as a registry cleaner

Avast free home edition at avast.com. Superantispyware at Superantispyware.com. Malwarebytes at malwarebytes.com. Download malwarebytes and run a quick scan. Avast scans websites before they load,rt email and im scanner.
