PivX has released a FREE tool that protects against future infections of AIM/AOL Instant Messanger profile and message viruses. Once you have removed the virus [http://rcc.bgsu.edu/faq/FixMessageTrojans.htm]

...then you can go to the PivX website and Install Qwik-Fix: http://www.pivx.com/qwikfix/

i had the realphx virus and was able to successfully remove it. then, some of my friends got the talkstocks.net virus (with the link "wooaahh look what i found! click here!")... and i was able to successfully remove it..

unfortunately, now, many of my friends have a new one, that inserts a link that says "I can't believe I found (your screenname here)'s Picture here HAHAHAHA"

and links back to buddypicture.net..

ive been completely unable to find any removal tool for this one... can anyone help me?? please email me at miisanthropyx@hotmail.com...

I am in the same boat as all of you with the I found %n's picture virus. McAfee scans and doesn't find anything, then it randomly comes up saying that there's a virus in something like C:\system volume information or something similar to that. Im going to keep searching but if anyone find a cure please tell me.

hey people, I think I got just the right thing for all those who is stuck with the virus mentioned on December 3, 2003. I got a link to a program. Just simply click open and let it works on its own. It works pretty fast. It opens and closes without you notice, so don't let it fool you and think that it didn't work. Here is the link:

http://digitalmatter.net/index.php

After you get rid of that, you might want to install ad-aware if you don't have it already to get rid of all the pop-up ads. Here is the link:

Hope it comes in handy.
