Hello,

Really hoping someone can help me to get rid of this persistant virus.

I'm trying to fix a friends computer that has been infected the the "Adware.QoolAid" trojan virus.

HE wasn't running any type of antivirus or spyware protection period. I have managed to get rid of a few other viruses and installed NIS:2005, SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware,Spybot and a host of others and none can get rid of this thing.

I have identified 6-7 infected files (via NIS:2005) in the Windows System 32 folder. None of them are allowing access to be deleted. I have taken out all references to these files in the registry with the exception of "f3efd.dll" which keeps coming back.

Can anyone help? Should I run and post a Hijackthis log?

Thankyou in advance.
