Hi there,

I would highly appreciate if someone can help me with this problem. Yesterday my system stopped showing desktop icons after logon. I was able to fix this problem after running a couple of fixes SDFix.exe, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware. However, my Anti-virus keeps on detecting Trojan.Peacomm.D at the startup and my system keeps on popping up advertisements every now-and-then.

Please help!

spybot and adaware should be able to delete Peacomm trojan. have you tried to download updates for your security tools and run scans again? if that doesn't help, i recommend you to remove Peacomm manually, here's Peacomm removal.
