Dont trust it. From the sounds of it you have a virus and that is causing the pop up. Personally i never use Norton, i use avast which is a great free anti virus. to make sure that your computer is not infected you can follow these steps.
1. Download malewarebytes from
2. update malewarebytes
3. run scan
4. download avast
5 run scan with avast.

this should find anything on there.

You may have to run
1- rkill.exe (to stop the malware process)
2- tdss killer (to remove the unwanted rootkit that is causing the problem)
3- malwarebytes (run it in full mode and remove all it finds.)
See if that clears up the problem...if not, there are other cleaners that can be used.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers

"Anti virus 8" is most definitely bogus (new one). If you clicked on it then you are probably now infested. MalwareBytes, as already given, will likely clear it.

NEVER click on anything that pops up and says you are infested (don't even close it with the X or use Alt+F4) unless it is your own installed program. There are stacks of these around and they collect info from you and ask a fee. If you see one, you either use Ctrl-Alt-Del and end tasks or power off and restart.
