Help please!
I'm useless with computers and i think i downloaded a virus
Firstly it was XP Antivirus 2008, i went online on a different computer and went through various different ways to get rid of it, i tried deleting what they had suggested and i couldn't find most of them (because i have no experience with the technical side of using a computer)
I ended up restoring it to before i had downloaded and i thought it had gone, but the blue screen that came up (Warning: Spyware ... ok i cant remember what it said) but that background was still there.
Then all of a sudden Advanced XP fixer popped up and started doing a scan, I closed it before it could complete it, i decided to uninstall it, which got rid of the little icon and i thought it had gone.
But the blue warning screen is still there when i turn the PC on and there are two icons which have been there since the XP Antivirus had came up are still there too.I would have normally used my Norton Antivirus, but its subsription ran out and i don't want to risk updating it because i have to put my bank details in and i don't want them being stollen.
What should I do and how do i know if it has been fixed. Please help i'm useless with computers, it would be much appreciated!
P.S I didn't know what the Manufacturer/Model was, so i apologise!
