Kind of scary when this PDF reader is probably the most popular.

I use Foxit myself, but there is a link on the page with a few free alternatives.

Not that I'm aware of... I would have hoped the reporting in the article reported if this was the case.

It is an extremely popular freeware alternative.

Have you read something RT?
